Image to video: animate a still
Image to video uses the same Create a video screen as text to video: add a starting image and tendre.red animates it into a short clip with motion and synchronized sound.
1. Add a starting image
Open the Video tab, select Create a video, and click "Choose an image" to import a still from disk, whether it was generated in tendre.red or comes from elsewhere. If the image is smaller than the target video size, the app warns you it will be upscaled and may look softer.
2. Describe the motion
Write a short prompt in the Motion field describing what should move and how, for example "hair moves in the wind, slow zoom in." The rest of the frame stays close to the source image; the prompt guides motion, not the whole composition. Use the camera move dropdown for a driven cinematic move.
3. Set the render engine, sound and length
Pick Local (your own GPU, free) or Cloud (credits, Turbo or Full model). Leave Sound on for ambience or a matching audio layer generated alongside the motion, and pick a clip length.
4. Generate and review
Press Generate. If the motion drifts too far from the source image, shorten the clip or make the motion prompt more specific, then try again.
5. Go further
Once you have a clip, press "Next shot (from this frame)" to chain it into a longer scene, or open Montage, where the clip is already listed under My clips, for a full edit.
See Text to video for the same screen without a starting image, and Transitions to morph between two images instead.
