Choosing resolution and aspect ratio
Two separate settings control size in tendre.red: the Format you pick per generation, and the Generation size you set once in Settings. Together they decide render time, VRAM use and final detail.
1. Pick a format
On the Generate tab, under Format, choose Square, Portrait or Landscape depending on where the image will be used, portrait for phone screens, landscape for wide scenes, square for grids and thumbnails.
2. Set the base size in Settings
In Settings > Generation, the Generation size slider sets the actual pixel base behind those formats: Small PC (768), light and fast for modest GPUs; Standard (1024), native SDXL quality, needs more VRAM; or High (2K), which renders at the standard resolution and then automatically upscales the result about x2. If generations are slow or fail with a memory error, drop to Small PC.
3. Generate at a comfortable size
Start with Standard so you can iterate on the prompt quickly. There is little point rendering at High while you are still adjusting composition or lighting.
4. Upscale a kept result
Once you have an image you want to keep at a larger size, open the dedicated Upscale (x2) tab instead of regenerating. Click Choose images (it also accepts images imported from outside the app, and you can queue several at once) and press Upscale x2: it doubles the resolution with no regeneration, so the content itself never drifts.
